Ukrainian military open fire at DPR territory 1,048 times in last 24 hours

The Ukrainian military opened fire at the front-line territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 1,048 times in the last 24 hours, the Vice-Commander of the Operational Command of the Donetsk People’s Republic Eduard Basurin states.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the territory of the Republic 1,048 times over the past 24 hours. From that number heavy artillery was applied – 321 times, MRLS – 20 times, tanks – 15, mortars of various caliber – 418, IFVs – 69, anti-aircraft installations, grenade launchers and small arms – 205 shots,” listed the Vice-Commander.

The Petrovsky district of Donetsk and the territory of the former airport were under AFU fire.

According to the DPR intelligence, west and north of the capital near Krasnogorovka and Peski village with the distance of 3km away from the front – there were detected four howitzers of 152mm, three of 122mm and 10 anti-tank missile systems ‘Stugna-P’. The Armed Forces of Ukraine redeployed the platoon of the Right Sector military in the vicinity of Avdeyevka.

Dokuchayevsk, the settlements of Zaitsevo, Mikhailovka, Dolomitnoye, the mine named after Gagarin located in Gorlovka, the villages of Zhabichyevo, Spartak, Krutaya Balka and Vasilyevka near Yasinovataya and also Kominternovo, Oktyabr, Leninskoye, Sakhanka and Zaichyenko in the Novoazovsk district in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic were under Ukrainian military’s fire as well.
